Divine Intervention specializes in cakes, cookies, and desserts for all special occasions, meetings, and parties. All of my goods are created from scratch, using fresh sweet butter, cream, and eggs, and are made to order – never frozen. I am committed to creating delicious, beautiful cakes and desserts that you and your guests will remember long after your big day.
After a lifetime spent cooking, gardening, sewing, and baking, raising little girls and teaching, I was at a crossroads – ready for a new creative outlet. Several years ago, after a difficult period, I had the time and opportunity to enroll in cake decorating classes, and since then I have devoted much of my time to creating beautiful cakes.
I have baked since our neighbor taught me to bake peanut butter cookies – each carefully cross-hatched with a fork and crowned with a perfect peanut – in her sunny blue and white kitchen. I grew up in a house where my mother baked bread and fried doughnuts and made fruit cocktail cakes for birthdays. Later, I baked all the pies for my father’s restaurant and baked dozens of Christmas cookies each year. With all that baking history, it seemed logical to enroll in culinary school to learn as much as I can about baking and desserts.
Baking combines careful measuring and thinking with the touching delight people show when they receive and eat fresh cakes or cookies!
